Dante ‘n Shadow
There is one blatant common denominator when you look at photos of the human subjects: Every face, man, woman, or beast, is imprinted with definite expression. In the case of Dante and Shadow, I got to work with curiosity.
Curiosity, I found, is an emotion that lies almost solely in the eyes. Both dogs have height in their brows that shadows the lower corners of their eyelids that are beginning to sink downwards without drooping. I had to pay attention to their body language as well in order to maintain consistency throughout the portraiture. Each dog is upright and at attention except for a softness that wrinkles the napes of their necks.
