Lehman Delaware

Upon request from my brother-in-law, victorious fantasy football champion for the 2014 NFL season, the prize was a piece of art. His request? A rendition of the famous “Washington Crossing the Delaware” painting by Emanuel Leutze, with a twist. This portrait has my victorious brother-in-law in place of Washington commanding the boat being rowed by his fantasy football “crew,” those not so successful during the 2014 season. The original painting hangs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, a massive 378.5 cm × 647.7 cm (149 in × 255 in). My humble imitation is just a fraction of that size, but fortunately still large enough to be meticulous in the details.
